Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an all-levels class that allows complete beginners to walk off the street and become acquainted with jiu jitsu while also permitting more experienced grapplers the harder training they desire. With classes in the late evening, early evening, daytime, and weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to fit your training around your schedule. Classes consist of a warm-up followed by technical instruction and drilling of the technique facilitated by one of our coaches. At the end of the class we line up and “bow out”. Class is followed by 30 minutes of open training where members test their techniques in a live setting during timed rounds. These grappling matches are referred to as “rolling”. Members can also choose to use this time to continue working on their techniques with a partner. Beginners do not have to participate in the rolling if they feel they are not ready. The coach will often help you by introducing you to a “flow roll” where they will provide very little resistance and allow you to work on your techniques until you build the confidence to begin rolling with other members. RULE #1 at Infinum BJJ is that we all go to work (or school) in the morning so we take care of each other. Members who want to compete and train harder will only do so against other competitive members. However, if training with someone newer they will also lower the intensity to help facilitate those first few months in the program. Did we also mention our video library containing over 70 of the same techniques we learned in class? That way members can review the lessons they learned at their leisure. Whether you are a complete beginner or are a more experienced grappler looking to improve your skillset on the ground we have what you need to learn valuable skills for life on and off the mats.
